Hi! I am Jinyu Xu (å¾čæå®), currently an undergraduate student at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and I will pursue my graduate studies at Tsinghua University starting in Fall 2027. My research interests include Computer Vision and Computer Graphics.
I am interested in what limited visual observations can tell us about the world, from what we see to its underlying structure. Beyond understanding the world, I want to explore how intelligence can turn perception into action, allowing us to interact with and reshape it.
My current research focuses on 3D scene understanding and generation for embodied AI. Previously, I worked on visual dense prediction under the supervision of Prof. Hao Lu, studying fine-grained visual understanding from images.

TPC-268 is a large-scale, fine-grained plant counting dataset spanning hundreds of species and diverse observation scales. By integrating botanical taxonomy into class-agnostic counting, it bridges the gap between plant science and computer vision, providing a foundation for robust generalization to unseen plant species.
TasselNetV4: A vision foundation model for cross-scene, cross-scale, and cross-species plant counting
Xiaonan Hua, Xuebing Li, Jinyu Xu, Abdulkadir Duran Adan, Letian Zhou, Xuhui Zhu, Yanan Li, Wei Guo, Shouyang Liu, Wenzhong Liu, Hao Lu
